Groups

GROUPS ARE ALL ABOUT GROWING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND WITH ONE ANOTHER

In groups, we:

  • Build friendships in a welcoming, safe environment
  • Discuss and apply the principles of our weekend teaching series
  • Experience and share the transformative power of God working in our lives!
We have a variety of groups and would love to help you join one that meets your needs and stage of life.

Explore the group types below to find the best group for you:

FOR EVERYONE

On-campus groups are for ANYONE who is not currently in a group. You will meet new people, learn how we do groups at Sun Valley, and form a brand-new group that meets on campus for the length of a sermon series, usually 6-8 weeks. For many people, this is the best and easiest first step! New groups launch each year in January and August, and you can jump in at any time throughout the series. FOR LEARNING AND PRACTICING SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS

Rooted is for anyone who wants to grow in their spiritual walk with Jesus. Whether you are new to following Jesus, have been following him for years, or are just beginning to explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus, Rooted will help you connect with God, the church, and your purpose. ARE YOU STRUGGLING OR GOING THROUGH A CHALLENGING TIME?

Learn More About Groups

Groups typically meet once a week, with scheduled breaks during the summer and in December.
New groups start by meeting on-campus, but once a group has formed they will typically meet in the group leader's home or at another agreed upon location. The majority of groups meet in areas closest to your campus.
Groups tend to form around common stages of life, but there are also mixed groups, groups for couples, men, and women.
In addition to on-campus and in-home groups, there are also Rooted and Care groups.
Most on-campus groups offer childcare, but check your specific registration for details. For groups that meet in homes, group members will need to make arrangements for childcare during group meetings..
